A member of a prominent family from Arico, like most of his relatives, Don Esteban de Morales followed a military career, in which he entered as a second lieutenant in the Militias, later promoted to lieutenant and captain of the Militias of Abona; As such,

He was in charge of one of the two companies in Arico, so he was one of the two highest-ranking soldiers residing at that time in that area. In addition, he was a notable agricultural owner, which Email Marketing List allowed him to display and enjoy his military employment with dignity.  He was born in the neighborhood of Icor (then called Icore) on January 2, 1677, being the son of the then lieutenant Don Carlos de Morales and Doña Felipa de Morales.



Four days later he was baptized in the church of San Juan Bautista del Lomo de Arico by the parish priest Don Pedro Lorenzo Gómez; He was named “Esteban” and Captain Don Pedro García del Castillo, “young man and neighbor of this place in the Arico neighborhood”, first cousin of his father, acted as godfather…
