CIOs today face a series of challenges. More and more workers are using their personal instant messaging accounts to conduct business conversations and transactions. CIOs have two options to deal with the problem: exploit it and make the most of valuable data. A complete ban is not feasible because, either way, workers will simply continue to use the best-known tool and use it for their personal communications every day. Currently, CIOs face a series of challenges, one of them being instant messaging platforms. The demands of the company are increasing and, likewise, users are more difficult to satisfy. While core systems typically have a longer lifespan, customer engagement platforms change more frequently. In particular, data management is becoming a key issue in today's computing environment. Let's look at these issues in more detail. IT often optimizes systems for a single function, from supply chain, finance, business information to customer-centric systems.

This is where the challenge of integration lies. The IT function faces issues such as processes that are not integrated from start to finish, or an application landscape that is not centralized and therefore leads to process disruption. All of this has an impact on the efficiency of an organization's workers, and prevents companies as a whole from having optimal performance in their markets. Its use is increasingly involved in companies and for commercial purposes. In many regions of the world, instant messaging has replaced other forms of communication such as email, SMS and even phone calls. The reason is simple: instant messaging is very easy and intuitive to use.

It offers a more direct, faster and easier way to interact and fully integrates multimedia communication by including documents, images, movies or voice messages. And because its use is so easy and intuitive, this type of instant messaging sets a communication standard. Messaging in the business environment As more and more people are accustomed to communicating with instant messengers, the same expectation of ease of use is being placed on enterprise systems. Some business tools have adopted chat features to facilitate this interaction. Some examples are Microsoft Teams and Slack, which focus on intra-business communication with chat conversations. Without a doubt, this facilitates communication between workers and teams, but it limits the conversation within the company.
